Partnering to Give Back Hope
We're on a mission to deliver hope for a better future and positive change now to the lives of children and families in Kenya and around the world.
Every penny you donate supports our efforts to better the lives of children and families who are living in extreme poverty, either in informal settlements or on the streets. With your help, we support full-time missionaries and local staff who carry out our mission:
- To feed and rescue homeless children living on the streets of Nairobi.
- To integrate rescued children back into their families.
- To sponsor rescued or vulnerable children to keep them in school and with their families.
- To engage in prevention care, tutoring, and mentoring within the community.
Whether it's rescuing children through relationship-building, renewing hope through spiritual ministry and support, or simply providing a hot meal, Giving Back Hope Together is dedicated to making the world a better place.
Our Board of Directors
Kevin Harvey
President
Kevin lives in Greenfield, Indiana, and is married to Jayme. Kevin and Jayme have two children, who have each blessed them with a grandson. Kevin is an attorney and has been practicing law at the same Greenfield law firm since 1997. He has been a partner in the firm since 2003. Kevin has served and continues to serve as a member of the board of directors of several local nonprofit organizations. Kevin’s parents and paternal grandparents both served as missionaries to Papua New Guinea, and Kevin served as an occupational missionary there as a young adult. Daughter Katie Ouma is thus a 4th generation missionary. In his free time, Kevin enjoys woodworking, making stained glass, and photography.
Destiney Roxburgh
Vice President
Destiney lives in Lake Arrowhead, California and is President of RoxxiStudios Design & Marketing, LLC. As a graphic and web designer, Destiney loves to combine creativity with helping her clients succeed. Destiney has donated her time to Giving Back Hope Together, Inc. since 2018 and is proud to serve on the board of directors.
Destiney enjoys spending her time swimming, hiking, making jewelry & origami, and being entertained by her silly cats.
Greg May
Secretary
Greg lives just outside of Indianapolis, IN with his wife Audrey and 3 kids: Annabelle, Matteo and Isaac. Their family has 2 dogs: Harley and Taco Batman. Greg enjoys serving the Lord is any way he asks and has a passion for mission trips. He has been to Kenya 1 time, in 2022, and would love to go back again. Greg works as an IT Trainer/Designer for Roche Diagnostics and enjoys everything related to the IT world. Other hobbies include walking Taco and Harley every morning, keeping up with 3 kids in 3 sports, traveling, listening to audio books, and spending time with family and friends. Greg is also very excited to serve on the board for GBHT!
Ron Hulet
Treasurer
Ron Hulet fell in love with Kenya the first time he went in 2017. He lives outside of Indianapolis Indiana with this wonderful wife Lynette and four incredible kids. He is a disciple of Christ and has a passion for showing people how much God loves them and being a part of the holistic change that God can bring. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering, works as an VP of finance in the insurance industry, is the CFO of his wife’s floral studio and also serves on the board of Renewal Neighborhood Ministry. He is humbled and grateful to be part of the work at GBHT, and looks eagerly to the wonders that God will do and the lives changed in the beautiful country of Kenya through GBHT.
Jayme Harvey
Board Member
Jayme lives in Greenfield, Indiana, and is married to Kevin. Kevin and Jayme have two children, and Jayme loves spending time with her two grandsons. Jayme is a registered nurse by degree, but has spent most of her career in oncology clinical research. She has been employed with Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for the past eleven years, and currently works in the medical quality organization. Jayme first visited Kenya on a short-term mission trip in 2016. She has been back in Kenya four times since then. In her free time, Jayme enjoys reading, playing the piano, working in the flower garden in her back yard, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Toni Powers
Board Member
Toni Powers is co-owner and Vice President of Powers Oil and Propane. Toni graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from Bowling Green State University and also worked as a licensed physical therapist until 2021. She is the mother of two adult daughters and loves time with her family and friends. A native to Alliance, OH, she is passionate about supporting organizations that improve the lives of children and families. Toni currently serves as a board member for Christian Children’s Home of Ohio and Giving Back Hope Together. She is, also, a Mommy Mentor with Mom2Mom at the Alliance Pregnancy Center. She believes Jesus is our Hope and in Him we find our worth and purpose. Jesus is for All people!
Janine Harvey
Board Member
Janine lives in Syracuse, Nebraska, with her husband Mike. She has 3 children and 4 grandkids. Janine is employed as a respiratory therapist at a local hospital. She participated in many mission trips in the United States as a youth leader. With a heart for missions, Janine was drawn to GBHT's ministry focus and enjoys contributing as a board member.
Tony Armor
Board Member
Tony lives in Fishers, Indiana and is married to Pam. They are blessed with two wonderful children Scott (spouse Alyssa) and Sara (spouse Josh). Tony currently works as VP, Senior Team Lead for a large wholesale insurance broker in Carmel, Indiana. He has worked with many industry professional associations and currently serves as a board member for the National African-American Insurance Association - Indiana Chapter. Tony enjoys spending time with friends, playing golf, and finding great new restaurants to experience. He is excited about what God has in store for GBHT.
Pam Armor
Board Member
Pam is a financial analyst for American Health Network in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has been married to Tony for 35 years and they live in Fishers, Indiana. Their son Scott and daughter-in-law Alyssa live in Greenville, SC. Their daughter Sara and son-in-law Josh live in Indianapolis. Pam was introduced to GBHT by following their family friend, Katie (Ouma), in her missionary journeys to Kenya over the years. In 2023 Pam had the opportunity to visit Kenya as part of a team who helped with Vacation Bible School in the Kibagare settlement. This was a life changing experience, further opening her heart and her eyes to the needs. The kids she met have overflowing love to share, brilliant minds, and endless promise. She was blown away by the incredible work God is doing in Nairobi, and what He can do when we start small and trust HIm! Pam also enjoys planning dinners with friends & family, gardening, walking on the beach with her husband, and watching TV documentaries. She is honored to be on the GBHT board and would love to return to Kenya one day!

Linstone "Sonny" Ouma
Founder, CEO
Founder and Director, Linstone Sonny Ouma Omollo, was born and raised in Kangemi, an informal settlement. HIs parents were not financially capable of taking him to school with his siblings. Because of this and lack of food, Sonny and his older brother ran to the streets to look for food. They were rescued by a Kenyan missionary who put them into a boarding school right next to his family's home. The social workers realized this and allowed them to live at home and still come to the school every day. Sonny was then enrolled into a child sponsorship program. Through the sponsorship program, he completed schooling all the way through university. He wanted to give back to the community and that is when he started GBHT. Sonny met Katie in 2017 and they were married in 2021. They have a 1 year old son, Gerald.
Katie Ouma
Administrator, Sponsorship Coordinator
Director, Katie Ouma, is also GBHT’s Administrator and Child Sponsorship Coordinator. Katie grew up in Indiana, U.S.A., and completed her schooling at the University of Indianapolis with a degree in psychology. She first visited Kenya in 2016 and fell in love with the country and its people. During her internship in 2017, God broke her heart for the street children she encountered daily. She felt God calling her to full-time ministry. Katie volunteered for GBHT during the year of 2019, became a full-time part of GBHT in 2021. Katie met Sonny Ouma in 2017 and they were married in 2021. They now have a one year old son, Gerald.
Give Back Hope Confidently
In Kenya, we are a Community Based Organization (CBO), holding a registration certificate from the government of Kenya. We operate our CBO in Kenya through our Directors and local staff. Our Directors in Kenya regularly provide financial reports to our board of directors in the United States.
In the United States, we are an Indiana nonprofit corporation that is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. This means that your donations are all tax deductible. In the United States, we are managed by a board of directors whose members live in multiple states.
In compliance with the IRS requirements for our tax-exempt status in the United States, at least one member of our board biannually performs an onsite audit of the finances of Giving Back Hope Together – Kenya. We have no paid staff in the United States. Aside from paying for the small amount of vendor expenses incurred in the United States, all donations made to Giving Back Hope Together are sent to Kenya for their intended purposes.
