Our Preschool at the Hope Center is Growing!
The reason we started a preschool was to fill a gap in the community. Most parents don’t send their children to school until the age of 7 or older. Parents in Kibagare haven’t been taught the importance of early childhood education. So we decided to start a preschool to help fill the gap and show the importance of early childhood education. Children who attend preschool will have a distinct advantage when the reach elementary school!
Last year we began with 15 students, and as of today (the first day of the 2025 school year!) we have 68 students!! We said “yes” to God in faith, knowing He would bring the right people to support our school. There are a few ways you can help support our students and school:
1. Sponsor a child! It only takes $40 a month to sponsor a child, which guarantees that we are able to run the school properly. This covers a child’s daily breakfast and lunch, school uniform, school fees, all school supplies, quarterly food bags for the family, and medical insurance coverage.
2. Sign up to be giving a monthly commitment towards the school to help cover salaries of teachers, social workers and security guards.
3. Join us in prayer!
-Pray for the students as they are learning new concepts.
-Pray for our teachers for strength and wisdom.
-Pray that we can be fully funded so that we may continue school operations.
